The main functions of the product
1.Learning new words:
In this section, it contains all the characters appearing in Chinese textbooks of primary school with three different editions, which are compiled respectively by Beijing , Shanghai and the People's Education publishing house. Appending to this selection method are two other modes: through handwriting and Pinyin to choose characters. Users can choose words to be learned just to their own demand, and study systematically the pronunciation, the font and the meaning of words according to the button or the phonetic hint.
2.Consulting the dictionary:
Users can directly pick up such information as the standard pronunciation and meanings of the word just by writing down the word with a handwriting-pen. In order to provide more interests and improve the effect of vision, around a thousand cartoons pictures are available in the dictionary.
3.Reviewing:
The system provides the users with two testing methods, that is writing down words according to Pinyin and notating presented words with Pinyin. It therefore aims to make users learn Chinese words from various angles.
4.Handwriting practising:
A copybook (over 2,500 characters in all) is installed. The software guides and corrects users especially the beginners to correctly write characters with the help of demonstrating the stroke order of each.
5.Testing:
With two testing methods--writing down words according to Pinyin and notating words with Pinyin, the system can find that to what extent the user has mastered the words. The system can mark the answer with the rank of A, B, C, D and so on. And then the sound of warm cheer or humorous criticism will be presented to encourage the users. This section also provides automatic correcting, which help users find out mistakes without difficulties through replaying the memory of writing process.
6.Appreciating the poems:
Apart from some poems selected from middle-school-students' textbooks, we collect in this software all the poems from the textbooks for primary schools. The total storage amounts to 77. All the poems are read aloud with colorful expression by the first-class mandarin conners, so users can better comprehend both the pronunciation and meaning of Chinese characters in certain situation as well as improve their ability of poem appreciation.
